“This experience allowed me to mature and discover a completely different way of working with addicted people. It will, I think, have a very important influence on my future career because it confirmed my choice of orientation, and, in Occurrence, my desire to work in the medico-social sector at the y\u00e9pi makandra therapeutic community.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It was an enriching immersion, a very warm welcome from the hosts and professionals.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“The objectives were achieved at the end of the immersion in Belgium in the two therapeutic communities, namely Ph\u00e9nix and Trempoline. I was able to see the functioning of a therapeutic community and the practices of professional postures and the progress of a typical day.”<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“Objective 1. Acquire leadership and time management skills<\/span><\/div>\n
Objective successfully achieved, in fact the immersion allowed me to be at the heart of the activities, to participate in clinical meetings, in coordination meetings with peers and participate in daily tasks, discussion groups and meetings with the trainees.<\/span><\/div>\n
Objective 2 Discover other therapeutic communities<\/span><\/div>\n
Objective achieved and very satisfied. Over several days, we were able to understand the structure and rigorous organization of Ph\u00e9nix and Trempoline for better functioning, discover cultural differences, and experiment with discussion groups focused on emotions.<\/span><\/div>\n
Objective 3 Acquire therapeutic tools<\/span>Goal achieved. During this stay, we learned a lot about the use of tools such as Structure, the green card, feelings tickets, unveiling, confrontations, the weather, the phase table, philosophy. These different tools can be transposed to our reality on the ground.”<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“I was able to achieve my goals. At Ph\u00e9nix I saw the work of the staff, the tools they use to work with peers. How to position yourself in front of your peers, in fact I was very surprised to see that in Ph\u00e9nix we use informal terms. In the pyramid which is made up of groups by sector, the team leaders, the pilots, the coordinators impressed me a lot. To see how peers manage themselves, they plan their day themselves.<\/div>\n
I confirm that yes I received much more than my objectives.”<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“Colleagues from Trempoline and Ph\u00e9nix presented the missions and functioning of the different centers well.<\/div>\n
The morning with Caroline Cangelosi in Trepose was very fruitful, she presented us with her \u201cyouth dock\u201d service and the different support tools offered to young people and families. I believe that important work must be done with parents for their children to progress in the program. The goal is to establish clear and simple objects with young people while encouraging them to participate in activities to fill the day so that they do not have time to think about the product.<\/div>\n
With Muriel we were very involved in the analysis of professional practices, we presented the specificities of our audience and the issues we face on a daily basis. I really appreciated his colleague’s speech, he told us his life story and the motivations that push him to support people today.<\/div>\n
At Trempoline, I was immersed for 2 days at the CT with Mathieu, he introduced me to the operation and rules of the center. I discovered \u201cthe structure\u201d through professionals and residents. I attended 2 confrontations (resident-coordinator and Staff-coordinator). In addition, I observed the teamwork of Trempoline colleagues and was presented with the different transmission tools. The rest of the time I spent a lot of time with the residents to see how they organize themselves at the sector level.<\/div>\n
In Ph\u00e9nix, I participated in a support group, a narcotics anonymous group and several staff meetings. Benjamin presented me with the different working tools of the staff and Fran\u00e7ois gave a presentation of the different services of the center. I also chose to stay with the interns to observe how they organized their days.”<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
